Something we hear a lot from people when it comes to caring for themselves (self-care) is “I don’t have time, I’m so busy, etc.” And while that may be true … Apps like DownDog App make it so easy and quick that there really isn’t an excuse not to. This self-care app is easy to use, customizable to your mood AND to your schedule. A win/win.

Of course, typically the reasoning is coming from a limiting subconscious belief, because we can all take 10 minutes if we choose to. But if you’re ready to begin a self-care practice, consider this easy-to-use app:

You can choose from a wide variety of styles of yoga and do as few as 3 minutes up to 80.
You can customize which body parts need stretching and love and choose music.
And choose a level. I like gentle beginner for a nice morning wake up.

Why is self-care important?

It calms the nervous system so we get out of the daily fight or flight loop (aka anxiety).

From a calmer perspective, we can access our body wisdom (intuition) and easily make decisions without over analyzing or outsourcing our wisdom (ask other people what we “should” do).

This leaves our minds clear and more easily able to stay present and to enjoy our lives.

Ultimately self-care allows you to:

Trust yourself.

When we fully trust ourselves, life becomes an interesting adventure. The familiar becomes exciting and new possibilities begin to emerge that we never thought were possible.
